Study progress

Georgiann and I have put up over 3/4 of the wallpaper in the third bedroom that will be my office. It is a heavily embossed paper that I am going to paint in the hopes of it looking like leather. Right now I need to finish a little wiring into the attic so I can vary the brightness of the recessed lighting over the desk.

Last night and today I have been working on my cross that I want to inlay in the floor among the 12" African Katanga Copper tile. They are high relief and look like stone. The colors here are NOT accurate, just for clarity purposes. The main part of the cross will either be Yellow Pine, Birch or Oak. Just not sure yet. Covered with a spar varnish hopefully to seal it against wear.

I had hoped to have it finished by now, but this shift work is still making me want to sleep all of the time. (Don't have an excuse for my pre-Lowe's days.) Like today. This morning, I had a disturbing dream about a maternal side family reunion being held in Okmulgee (in Oklahoma for those of you who don't know my background.) I was trying to get pictures of each family represented only to discover most weren't interested. Plus several were missing. It seemed like the place had been transported to another country, definitely third world (where else? I've only been to third world countries mostly.) I remember that because there were a lot of very dark skinned children that I didn't know.

I do remember being told that one uncle and his family had not come in spite of not being far away. I can remember bursting into tears because I had wanted to see them. The family was complete, except for the ones mentioned, even three that are deceased. One looked nothing like they did in life, and seemed to have undergone a name change as well. Same name, body build, looks and mannerisms as a friend of mine who lives in Ohio and has never, I would guess, heard of the Newberry family.

I have a very weired mind, and it gets scarier when I sleep. I guess I better not go to bed with or keep any sharp instruments near my bed.

Enjoy. Stay tuned, should have news of a grandaughter here in just over 2 months. Then another one in 10 to 14 months. Jill has a very rare condition called extenu gestationities. Coupled with immaculate out of body conception. Oh, and the process of the condition darkens the skin tones of the baby.
