Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
John Lennon of the Beatles. Thank you John for your thoughts on peace. But I humbly submit you missed the most important part about peace. You missed the Prince.
Have had this song running through my mind lately. Imagine peace. John saw peace coming about as a result of no religion. And I see his point. It seems most of our major conflicts somehow go back to deep beliefs. Instead of no religion, what if everyone was Christian? No one tied to a religion, or a denomination, or a sect or a creed, but Christian. Imagine that! Would we even need heaven then? Well, yes. We would. Otherwise the preparation would be in vain. And nothing divine is ever in vain.
