If you need names, let me know at bwcatlett@comcast.net. I figure most everyone who views this blog will know.
Abigail turned 1 on Friday September 4. This is her birthday party with her family and friends. Mark and Mary, Abigail's maternal grandparents were there as well as all of her paternal family and neighborhood friends. As I said in a letter it was a SCREAM. Literally. Get the two older girls together and something at some point will trigger the screaming. All a part of being girls I think.
Been working around the house getting several projects taken care that have needed attention for a while. Took my wheelbarrow completely apart in order to refinish the handles and repaint the barrow only to find the handles were in serious decay and the bolts had rusted. I have so far spent roughly what a new one would cost, but I have cut and formed my own handles which I am quite proud of, and hope to be putting it all back together shortly.
Had a large concrete front step, 30" by 52", that had sunk down on the outer edge by 4 inches that I raised back into place with the help of my good friend Scott Harvey and his tractor. Got the bushes trimmed around the front and have been cleaning up little landscaping odds and ends. Maybe I'll post pictures of some of that later. I will definitely post pictures of my wheelbarrow handles.
Happy Labor day to one and all. I really get confused at our language sometimes. Shouldn't it be Unlabor day for most? Me? I'm working. Capitalism has to be tended by someone.
